Meeting the Moment

The past year has laid bare the fault lines running through Israeli society. Alongside the urgent need for healing and unity, we are witnessing deepening polarization, the growing influence of religious extremism, and mounting strain on Israel's Jewish-democratic foundations - with consequences that reach far beyond Israel's borders to the global Jewish community.

At Kolenu, we recognize this moment for what it is: both a crisis and an opportunity. The path forward requires a strong, credible religious voice that speaks for Torah, ethics, and social responsibility. That voice must come from within.

The Opportunity

For Israel to thrive as a Jewish and democratic state, it needs a confident, significant religious voice committed to Torah, morality, and social responsibility.

That voice exists. It represents the majority within Israel's Religious Zionist and Modern Orthodox communities - people who believe that Jewish tradition calls us toward moral leadership, not away from it.

But today, this majority is fragmented and unheard. Extreme voices have come to dominate the public face of Religious Zionism, despite representing a minority within it. Without organization, without infrastructure, without platforms—the moderate majority remains silent while others speak in their name.

Who We Are

Kolenu is building the foundation for this silent majority to find its voice.

We are an Israeli organization rooted in Religious Zionist communities, working to connect and empower those who share a vision of Torah that embraces moral leadership, social responsibility, gender equity, and democratic values. We don't push an outside agenda—we amplify what already lives within these communities.

How We Work

Sustainable change requires infrastructure and action. Our strategy combines three interconnected elements:

The Community Network

We are building the first nationwide community network connecting Israel's moderate religious institutions - synagogues, schools, batei midrash, and community organizations. More than a technological platform, this network creates relationships between institutions, communities, and individuals who share common values but have never worked together. The network will make it possible for scattered communities to become a coordinated force.

The Amplifier

A platform for public discourse that brings moderate religious voices into Israel's national conversation. Through media presence and strategic communications, we ensure these voices are heard throughout Israel society.

Action on the Ground

Leadership development, educational initiatives, and community events that deepen commitment to Torah, moral leadership, and social responsibility - cultivating the next generation of leaders in the Religious-Zionist community who will carry these values forward.
